| ACCESS Family Night Our 2nd ACCESS Family Night is scheduled for Tuesday October 21st. Please remember that as a grant requirement, a parent is required to attend at least 2 of the 4 planned parent nights throughout the school year. Amended Calendar An updated calendar was sent home in the Green Friday Folder on 10/3/08. This calendar replaces the one given at the beginning of the year for ACCESS. Please be sure to replace the old one as there are a few changes that have been made. ACCESS on the Web We will continue to post all monthly newsletter info on our website at www.halhenardaccess.net. Please click on the "Newsflash" tab on the left and you will be able to stay up to date on all of our ACCESS happenings. Lights on Afterschool We will be celebrating "Lights on Afterschool" again this year. This event takes place on October 16th at Hal Henard Elementary in the commons. All parents and interested persons are welcome to attend. Lights on Afterschool is a nationwide celebration and an opportunity to highlight the importance of quality afterschool programs such as ACCESS. You will also have an opportunity to see your children involved in a session this day. Flying Eagles 5K Road Race The Flying Eagles are off and running (literally) and are doing a tremendous job. The boys are enjoying the opportunity to be able to participate in the new running club. All of the children are doing a wonderful job and their ability to run long distances is quickly improving. They will be running in the Zaxby's Strides for Schools 5k Run on Saturday, November 8th at 8:00 AM. There will be more information to follow in the near future.
